Cathleen Day - Chairman

Cathy as a principal partner in Heritage TODAY has had wide experience in assessing the significance of heritage places and developing heritage strategies for Local Government using the tools of community consultation. Cathy has experience in community development in social capital building; advocacy work; project management; local history and assessing the significance of local museum collections. In 2008 Cathy completed a Masters of Applied Cultural Studies.

Cathy also has teaching experience at high school level including teaching in the Special Needs area and continues to do volunteer work in reading programs for children with English as their second language.


Willem van Benten

Willem van Benten has been a Director of Workability since 2005. He holds an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and is presently the Regional Manager (Australia and SE Asia) for an offshore pipeline construction company. In that role he has the responsibility for identifying potential customers and providing follow up through commercial proposals and contract negotiations. In addition, he looks after the Industrial Relations of the Company's Australian operations.

Willem emigrated to Australia in 2000, after having been here on assignment from 1989 until 1993. Willem has an interest in the provision of employment service and support for people with disabilities, he believes that through this concept people can gain fulfilment of their ambitions and society can also better appreciate that those with a disability are an integral part of our society.


Geoff Wolfenden

Geoff brings a strong corporate network to the Board of Workability. Currently Geoff is the General Manager of Jeyco Ltd a company specializing in Mooring Solutions in the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry as well as Aquaculture Global Solutions. Geoff has developed a network of partners worldwide that works in synergistic business providing Turnkey Solutions to the Aquaculture Industry

Geoff has served as a Board Member at Seton Catholic College from 2000 - 2006 holding the Chairpersons position from 2003 – 2006 and still retains an active involvement in the Colleges Growth. Community wise Geoff is involved in coaching sports predominately the AFL code Coaching at junior level and most recently been the Senior League Coach at Melville Amateur Football Club.


Beth Marchbank

Beth brings to the Workability board vast experience in Marketing, Consulting, Public Relations, Strategic Planning and Management.

Beth has spent fifteen years working as an independent consultant and presenter to government and private industry in the disability, community services and health fields. She has been a lecturer and tutor in disability and human service units at Edith Cowan University and has worked as a consultant and seminar presenter in presentation and communication skills at the Victorian Intsitute of Sport.

Winnie Hadad

Winnie Hadad is the Principal of Winn Consulting, a Boutique Consultancy offering services such as financial modelling for mining projects and marketing strategies for the metals and mineral industry. She is an experienced CPA and has spoken at the CPA Congress in Perth upon request several times.

Winnie has operated both locally and internationally and her forte is market intelligence. Winnie brings to the Workability Board a high level of proficiency in Financial and Management accounting, strong IT implementation & strategic planning skills. Her academic qualifications include Master in Science (Mineral Economics), Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts, Chartered Secretary and Certified Practising Accountant. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries, AusIMM (Australian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy) ,NAATI (National Accreditation of Interpreters and Translators) and CPA. Amongst her key attributes are strategic planning and cost effective & sustainable solutions to businesses.

Workability Ambassadors

Graham Edwards

Workability is very fortunate to have Graham Edwards, former Member of both WA, State and the Federal governments take up the role as a "Ambassador" for Workability;  Mr. Edwards lost both his legs to a landmine in Vietnam and is an inspiration to all with disabilities.  Mr. Edwards maintains a strong and active involvement in defence, disability services and Veterans' issues.

Dr Cheryl Kickett-Tucker

Workability is pleased to announce Dr. Cheryl Kickett-Tucker (PhD, MS) previous Director of Workability will continue supporting people with disabilities in her new role as Workability Ambassador.

Ms Kickett-Tucker is a Nyoongar woman with traditional ties to the Wadjuk, Ballardong and Yued peoples in Western Australia. She has currently completed a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship with University of Western Australia (Telethon Institute for Child Health Research) and is Principal of Koya Indigenous Research Group, an independent and Aboriginal owned organisation. Cheryl has worked with Aboriginal people all her life in the fields of education, sport and health and is very passionate about using her research to make a real difference to the lives of Aboriginal children and their families. Cheryl completed her PhD and post doctoral studies which explored the sense of self, identity, culture and self-esteem of urban Aboriginal children.

Dot Henry

Dot brings to Workability a wealth of experience with Aboriginal and disability issues working within non government and government sectors. Dot is currently the Indigenous Program Officer with WA Cervical Cancer Prevention Program Perth, WA and recently represented WA at the Prime Minister’s Australia 2020 Summit held in Parliament House, Canberra.
